Birmingham Botanical Gardens uses print media throughout the year in multiple ways. I began working for The Gardens in 2005 as a designer for the annual report. The successful working relationship from that project allowed me to do more projects for The Gardens as a contract designer.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens is very fortunate to have a strong marketing team on staff so they plan their needs well in advance of events and distribution. Over the years I remained as an outside resource to help the team meet all the demands of the marketing department. Many of their projects have been handled in-house so as a team we collaborate to keep the brand consistent regardless of who is the designer of a project. My files are kept up-to-date so that approved content, logos, fonts and images are always used for design. The awards we have won for the newsletter speak of the great relationship we have as a team.
